Our vision is to deliver a world-class regatta that is profoundly African and leaves a legacy for South African rowing and the local community.
Our long-term vision is to use the event as a catalyst for the creation of a world-class water sports centre at Roodeplaat Dam that leaves a lasting legacy for South African rowing and create jobs and sustained economic development for the local and regional communities.
We will deliver an event that is World Class in terms of technical compliance and customer experience.
We are proud of our African roots, and “African-ness” must be apparent in all aspects of the regatta.
The event must improve the environment, build event hosting capabilities and strengthen relations between, rowing, the community and government.
The event must deliver value for all stakeholders. A minimum participation of 2600 athletes will ensure the viability of the event.
